10 Affirmations That Will Change Your Life

One of the quickest and most effective ways that I know to change your life is to take the following steps. ENVISION your day and then commit it to 'practice'. For instance, really picture how things would be if everything went your way, if wonderful little surprises kept showing up. Fantasize about the laughter and joy you'd feel until until you feel it.

Michelle left us with a newfound hope for a future of change and a round of applause when in one of her many sentimental passages she said Obama had been unchanged by his success. You, too, can really picture how things would be if everything went your way, if wonderful little surprises kept showing up. All you need to do is to just fantasize about the laughter and joy you'd feel until...well, until you feel it. And when that happens, what would you do, where would you go? Who would you go with if you were living the exact life you wanted--if you knew that ANYTHING was possible?

Concentrate on your vision; notice how it makes you feel. Then take that feeling and craft an encouraging phrase that makes it sound as if what you desire is already a reality. Instead of I hope tomorrow is better, Say to yourself: My future is bright or Every day is a fun and happy adventure. Now, go about your day with your head held high.

When things get tough, or you find yourself discouraged, remember to REPEAT YOUR MANTRA whenever you start to bad-mouth yourself. You'll retrain your brain to focus on the positive, not the negative.
