Life Lists are not simply a list of goals that you write down on a piece of paper. Life Lists are road maps to your future. They are treasure maps that lead you to that feeling of accomplishment that so many people seem to be looking for. That in itself should be reason enough to create one but what's that? You need more reasons? All right then, here are a few more awesome reasons why you should create and work on the completion of a Life List.
1. Having A Life List Gives You Something To Talk About.
How many times have you been hard up to talk to someone about... well, anything? Now you can talk about something besides the weather. For instance "Hi, not only am I going to the Star Trek Movie premiere, I'm going to be first in line dressed in an authentic Star Trek Original Series uniform." You'll definitely be classified as... um... "interesting."
2. Having A Life List Puts Color In Your Life
Let's think about this for a moment. If you are bored right now, creating a Life List gives you something to move towards in life. Unless you want to spend the rest of your life hypnotized by the TV.
3. Having A Life List Brings Out The Supportive Side of People
I have a friend named Josh who as soon as I mentioned the fact that I had a Life List and mentioned some of the items in it, immediately became my Life List Coach. Now I can't go a day without having a text message sent to me or a phone call with him on the other end saying something like: "What did you do on your list today?" Other people I've mentioned my list to have had similar reactions.
Starting A Life List is easy It's completing that seems to be the hard thing to do. However, I intend to do it. I'm so confident that I'll complete every item on it that I'm willing to let you watch me do it.
By joining my Life List mailing list you'll be able to keep tabs on me as I set about completing each item. You can sign up at http://www.doingyourlist.com/?page_id=22
